The mission of the Orange-Ulster BOCES (OU BOCES) is to serve our component districts and community in the development of continuous learners who will be successful in meeting the challenges of living in our society today and in the future. We will accomplish this mission in a cost-effective manner with a dedicated, BOCES, or Boards of Cooperative Educational Services, were created in 1948 by the New York State legislature. They operate as extensions of local school districts to help them meet their educational and financial goals by offering shared educational programs and services.
