The building at 3 Kriezotou Street belonged to artist Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika, who donated it to the Benaki Museum during his lifetime, in 1991. The Ghika Gallery attests to the exceptional intellectual and artistic output of Greece, throughout a particularly critical era. The exhibition presents the work of an outstanding generation The Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika Gallery was gifted to the Benaki Museum by the artist and functioned as an annexe to the museum from 1991-2000, whereupon it closed temporarily for maintenance and building refurbishment.
