In Xenoblade Chronicles X, the story for the most part is adequate. If you have the patience to dive in, learn the lore involved, and communicate with NPC's on a frequent basis, I would say the story, and the sub stories that surround it, are actually pretty good. However, like many large, open world games, the story is the catalyst for the Xenoblade Chronicles X has its share of faults and is a vast departure from the formula that Xeno-games are known for, but it also brings an amazingly large adventure for RPG fans on the Wii U. Xenoblade Chronicles X is epic and a really great game, but one that requires the player to approach it in a specific way. It's an oddity on the Wii U, a full-fledged massive RPG experience from a first-party Nintendo developer.
