XO . Extra . The eaux-de-vie are aged in French oak barrels before being blended by our Cellar Master in true Cognac tradition. The blend shapes body and roundness, and also gives our Cognac De Luze XO its finesse and elegance on the palate. The 40% don't feel, there's enough body and structure. Finish: medium, on sameish notes this time again. A little caramel in the aftertaste. Comments: very fine drop! Remember, XO's are usually pretty young cognacs, contrarily to popular belief. Ve've also got a De Luze 'Infini' that's infinitely terrific, but we'll have it next time. Perhaps the Meukow XO Grand champagne cognac. Or even Hine Cigar Reserve. Only tried the Hine and really liked it. Also, they have a younger single barrel XO from Comondan at select LCBO's. All are less expensive than the big 3 with the Meukow being most expensive at around $200.
