Conseiller Municipal - Ville de Gaspé Président - RITMR Gaspésie Jim Keays (born 9 September 1946, Glasgow, Scotland - died 13 June 2014, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia) was a Scottish-born Australian musician who fronted rock band The Master's Apprentices as singer-songwriter, guitarist and harmonica-player from 1965 to 1972, and subsequently had a solo career. His family migrated to Australia in 1951. Keays had been on life support since Monday. Keays, who had been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, began his career in the 1960s as lead singer with the Masters Apprentices, whose hits included Keays is survived by his partner Karin and his three children Holly, Bonnie and James.
