Love Charlie: the Rise and Fall of Chef Charlie Trotter, in-theater screening on Friday, October 22 at AMC River East, 322 E. Illinois Street; also available to stream as part of the Chicago Charlie Trotter, whose eponymous Chicago restaurant became an institution and helped pave the way for innovative small dishes that featured fresh and unique food, has died at age 54. Trotter closed his celebrated restaurant, Charlie Trotter's, in August 2012 after 25 years in business.
