Crotalaria verrucosa, the blue rattlepod, is a species of flowering plant in the legume family, Fabaceae. This shrub belongs to the subfamily Faboideae . [2] The herb can be found in tropical and subtropical areas from in Bangladesh to Sri Lanka in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australasia and Central America. In this work, we present an ecofriendly, non-hazardous, green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) by leaf extract of Crotalaria verrucosa (C. verrucosa).Total phenolic content, total flavonoid and total protein contents of C. verrucosa were determined.
