When Luise von Benda was born on 10 September 1905, in Rubkow, Greifswald, Pomerania, Prussia, Germany, her father, Robert von Benda, was 35 and her mother, Kate Gill, was 34. She married Alfred Josef Ferdinand Jodl on 7 March 1945, in Zehlendorf, Berlin, Germany. She died on 26 January 1998, in Unterhaching, München, Bavaria, Germany, at the My greataunts, Luise Jodl-von Benda (1905-1998) and Helene 'Tini' Klein-von Benda (1910-1990), both in their own way had a particularly close view on the Nazi state and the Second World War.
