Student veterans attended orientation in the Pond room of the Michigan Union Thursday evening and learned about the various resources and initiatives to support them on campus. The orientation was led by Psychology Lecturer Eric Fretz, Philip Larson, program director for the Student Veterans Assistance Program, and members of the Dr. Eric Fretz is a veteran and faculty member at the University of Michigan. While Dr. Fretz maintains many hats, one has been as a mentor to the SVA. His mentorship has extended far beyond the call of duty by providing over 200 hours of classes, vast networking resources and opportunities, and personally investing $100,00 in SVA members over Dr. Eric Fretz .
