Sibi Malayil's Kireedam was appreciated in all departments. From its characterisation and direction to music and, of course, award-winning performances, Kireedam not just established Malayalam movies at the National level but also gave Mohanlal and Thilakan one of THE roles of their career. Achuthan Nair is the proud father who dreams of his In Kireedam, starring Mohanlal, Thilakan played an ordinary policeman who has to make peace with his brilliant son (Mohanlal) turning into a street hooligan. Though the drama belonged to Mohanlal Thilakan has also acted in a shit ton of cringe movies. But we don't hear much about them much because he isn't the main actor. Mohanlal during his prime (86-2000), is one of the best India has ever seen.
