He spreads his holiness and makes his followers' wishes come true. The Temple is one of seven holy places in the area that people think Saint Parashurama built. According to mythology, it is one of the significant 'Mukti Sthalas' in Karnataka and is reputed as the 'Kumbashi of South India'. The deity here is believed to have emerged spontaneously (swayambhu) and is considered very powerful.
