Where Gogeta is crippled with a time-limit for his godly transformation, Vegito has all the time in the world to analyze his enemies and thoroughly destroy them. This pseudo-permanent fusion allows Vegito as much time as he needs to figure out an opponent's strengths and weaknesses, and devise ways to overcome them. The thing is, DBGT had a lot of really good concepts, it just executed some of them poorly. Super had some bad concepts that were executed well, but the writing in Super was also more self aware.. there's this meta'y fan-service thing going on in Super.
