Located 20KM from Nairobi CBD in the Karen suburb, Oloolua Nature Trail is home to the Institute of Primate Research (IPR) and a great destination for nature lovers right within the city. Oloolua is a haven of tranquility when you need some silence, serene ambience and an opportunity to unwind from our usual busy and We visited the fine Oloolua nature trail, that is located close to Karen Blixen museum and Girafe center in Nairobi. The paths are well laid out, in a very fine and peaceful environment of gorgeous and indigenous tropical forest. Along the trail, we saw: - many fine birds with colourful feathers and Sykes monkeys. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 4 min to complete. This trail is great for birding and hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The nature trail is open from 9 am to 3 pm daily.
