AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) is the national service program that works to eliminate poverty. The first VISTAs began serving in 1965 in the migrant farm worker camps in The Arizona Serve VISTA team currently includes 11 VISTA members serving in Prescott and 19 VISTA members serving in Tucson. Over the past year, our AmeriCorps VISTA team has: Managed over 950 volunteers contributing over 16,000 hours. Leveraged over $470,000 in cash resources and over $260,000 in in-kind resources. AmeriCorps is the federal agency connecting individuals and organizations through service and volunteering to tackle the nation's most pressing challenges.
