The Residence Hall Assembly shall act as the umbrella organization for all Hall Associations and the Residence Halls and be the primary representative body for all students living in the Residence Hall System at the University of California at Berkeley to Residential Student Services and Programs (RSSP), to the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), to the larger Housing Task Force. The rising cost of housing in the Bay Area, and Berkeley in particular, is creating serious financial challenges for undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers, while pushing them further and further away from the campus in the search for available and affordable housing.
