ZONING ORDINANCE . As Amended . April 2, 2019 . This update reflects amendments adopted by Ordinance Number 2389, 2427 and 2445 adopted in 2006; Ordinance Number 2456, 2457, 2461, The City of Auburn, Alabama is hereby divided into zoning districts of such number and character as are necessary to achieve compatibility of uses within each district, to implement the Official Zoning Map of Auburn, and to serve the other purposes of this Ordinance, which are detailed in Article I. Section 301. Zoning Districts. THE PUBLIC WELFARE REQUIRING IT, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Auburn, as follows: ARTICLE I. TITLE, PURPOSE AND JURISDICTION. Section 100. Title. This Ordinance shall be known as and may be referred to as the "Auburn Zoning Ordinance," and includes maps of the City that depict the boundaries of zoning districts.
