The "Deuce Coupe" is perhaps one of the most identifiable hot rods on the planet and Boyd put his unique touch on this model as well. Boyd's '32 was also featured on a special Discovery Channel presentation of "American Hot Rod" detailing the build. Starting under the hood sits a Chevy 350 with a TH-350 transmission and Winter's quickchange 10 - Admire Arcul de Triumf. Much like its iconic counterpart in Paris, Bucharest's Arcul de Triumf is a monument to perseverance and military victory. This 89-foot tall structure was first built in 1878 to celebrate Romania's newfound independence as a country. In 1997, Coddington (along with his then chief designer Chip Foose) was inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame. In 1998, Coddington had to re-organize Boyds Wheels as the result of bankruptcy. On April 7, 2005, Coddington pleaded guilty of perpetrating a "Ship of Theseus" fraud.
