Nelvana (often called Nelvana Studios or simply Nelvana) is a Canadian animation studio and entertainment company owned by Corus Entertainment since 2000. Founded in July 1971, it was named by founders Michael Hirsh, Patrick Loubert and Clive A. Smith after a Canadian comic book superheroine created by Adrian Dingle in the 1940s. It was officially considered the very first major Canadian 2004-2016. File:Nelvana 2004.svg. Template:Card. A new logo was released on September 7, 2004. The original pilot is released in December 20th, 2003. The polar bear was improved, the stars and the arc are removed, and the wordmark is in a bold font.
