Biography. James Plotkin began his musical career as the guitarist for grindcore trio O.L.D., with vocalist Alan Dubin and an ever-changing menagerie of drummer/bassists. Toward the end of his lengthy existence with that act, Plotkin had already started a new career as a bold and outrageous avant garde musician who built otherworldly collages Dr. Plotkin had led ACT and guided its vision since 1996, when he co-founded the organization with his fellow conservationist, Liliana Madrigal.
