The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program prepares high school students for leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American development program for our nations high school students. High school students enrolled in JROT are ^Cadets. There are approximately 314,000 Cadets enrolled in JROTC in 1,731 high schools, led by 4,000 retired Army Instructors. Mission The program's focus is reflected in its mission statement, To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens. The JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) program offers students in high school a comprehensive education in service and leadership, supported by the Department of Defense (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force).
