Since the club's John Varvatos did his best to ignore chants of "Down with $800 pants!" when he opened his third store in the space vacated by iconic punk club CBGB. Like in his ad campaigns, in which rockers Made a CBGB pilgrimage to the village and really enjoyed the vibe of the Varvatos store. The lighting is a little low but the salvaged original graffiti on the rough walls and the original stage are sweet. John Varvatos was made famous by the 1992 print ads featuring Mark Wahlberg on those Time Square billboards back in the day.
