(Image credit: Sub Pop) Founded by Olympia-born music fanatic Sub Pop Records, founded by Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman, is a label which originally formed in Seattle, Washington around 1986. In 1988, Sub Pop Records LLC was established. There aren't many record labels with as much personality as Sub Pop.
