This trail starts in Hillerød by the beautiful Frederiksborg Castle, where the trail takes you through the castle garden and partly along the castle lake. Frederiksborg Castle was built in 1620 by King Christian the 4th. The castle has subsequently been renovated and rebuilt after the violent fire in 1859.
