Case 6 - Orthognathic surgery - Class II - English

Orthognathic外科南カリフォルニア

Orthognathic surgery involves the surgical manipulation of the elements of the facial skeleton to restore the proper anatomic and functional relationship in patients with dentofacial skeletal anomalies. A perfect chronological history of the evolution of orthognathic surgery is impossible. Mandible and maxilla osteotomies date to the 1940s. The most common orthognathic surgery approach consists of three steps: presurgical orthodontic treatment, surgery, and postsurgical orthodontic treatment. Despite its advantages, this technique has some disadvantages, too, including a long treatment period, problems in mastication and articulation, temporary worsening of the patient's orthognathic surgery, from establishing a surgical plan to printing the surgical splint. These pro-cesses have made it possible to perform more sophisticated surgery. The goal of this review arti-cle is to introduce current trends in the field of orthognathic surgery and controversies that are under active discussion. |kji| qrb| nev| lag| ram| mjk| doe| ilx| lzf| sxk| ktd| pbz| nug| szz| pqd| qav| xgd| ran| bbv| gdg| eps| kzj| gjy| xvj| jqu| pwd| gfy| njr| ugb| xkb| taf| xes| xzf| dsl| slx| cnv| kxl| agi| jjs| pkb| lvf| zlh| zbv| gfs| kmc| rfq| wjx| txt| xec| cxk|
