Responsibility for meeting the long-term community vision and desired outcomes For the Shire's Aboriginal population in 2016: The average age was 29 years in 2016, with half the population aged under 25 years (the median age). The largest 5-year age groups were 10-14 years (11%), 0-4 years (11%) and 5-9 years (10%). The average age was one year lower than in 2011 and similar to in 2006.
