The District retained that title until January 1964 when it became the 4th Marine Corps Recruiting District. The District Headquarters moved to New Cumberland, PA in July of 1995. He has vast recruiting experience serving previously as the commanding officer for Recruiting Station Lansing, Michigan for three years and as the commanding officer of the Sixth Marine Corps District, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.
