BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is strategically located in Northeast Florida, just two nautical miles from the Atlantic Ocean and with deep water access. With a 101- acre state-of-the-art facility on the St. Johns River, our shipyard includes nearly 1,000 meters of full service piers, more than 12,500 square meters of covered workshops When complete in 2025, the new complex will expand the BAE Systems shipyard's docking capacity by 300 percent. The construction and operation of the repair facility is expected to generate approximately 1,000 new jobs. The complex will feature a new state-of-the-art shiplift system built by Pearlson Shiplift Corporation. BAE Systems plans to invest in a modern $200 million shiplift/land-level repair complex at its Jacksonville, Florida shipyard. The complex will expand the current capacity to drydock ships onsite.
