Reviewed July 29, 2014. Along with our trip to Mantralayam (26-29 July 14), we visited Panchamuki Anjaneya Temple. The temple is around 15-20 kms from Mantralayam. The roads (cannot call it but still) are in a very bad state. This is the spot where Sri Raghavendra is said to have meditated for twelve years. Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple is located at a distance of about 5 km from the town of Mantralayam. The residing idol at the temple is that of Lord Anjaneya or Lord Hanuman. The idol here has five heads with each head representing a different god namely Lord Garuda, Lord Narasimha, Lord Hayagreeva, Lord Hanuman and Lord Varaha.
