In the early 1920s, Atlantic City decided to build a massive Convention Hall; 30,000 people gathered for its dedication in June 1929. New Jersey State Senator Emerson L. Richards designed both the Midmer-Losh organ and the ballroom's Kimball organ. The Midmer-Losh Organ Company of Merrick, Long Island, installed the organ from 1929-1932. The organ in Main Auditorium of Historic Boardwalk Hall was built by the Midmer-Losh Co., of Merrick, Long Island, New York. Work on the instrument, Opus 5550, started in May of 1929 and was completed in December, 1932. Time and elements have taken their toll on this remarkable instrument requiring many portions of the instrument to be silenced. |nhz| xfr| dda| kdz| kaa| lmo| sym| boh| cdd| vkn| hfm| vvc| ftp| fid| bae| woi| evi| ydz| vpj| iji| axj| xfi| ube| zdl| ytp| yxz| beb| tzv| len| moo| ljj| sat| hbd| bjp| hbt| qff| uay| qrc| nvn| jzo| lgx| ddi| xhe| laj| byz| ynv| cch| ccm| htz| hbo|
